language of the heart

Before we learn to speak we already know the language of the heart.  I am convinced that there is an inner language for the inner person.  This truly is the international language...common to all.  It is the link we all have to life.  Before we have a developed capacity to think we have the capacity to know we are loved.  Even those with diminished faculties of reasoning know the language of the heart.  Our greatest needs are touched through this language.  It is not a language of mind and vocal cord, but of heart and soul.  I think that music reaches this area of our being...the deeper spots.  As I walked in the moonlit darkness of early morning I considered that our greatest need is to speak the language of the heart with the maker of the heart.  We want to know and be known according to this deep and abiding and permanent language.  It is the direct connection between the Lord and our lives.

Job 33:14 For God speaks again and again,
though people do not recognize it.
15 He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night,
when deep sleep falls on people
as they lie in their beds.

blessings,
Rob Smith
