Wallet and keys

Wallet and keys...I'm aware instinctively if they're missing. We don't carry purses as men. Our wallet and our keys are the only two essentials we need to go out into the world. Something like the Old West six-guns, we just feel undressed without wallet and keys. Even when I change into casual clothes after work I need to have wallet and keys in my pocket. This wasn't always the case with me. As a college student I somehow packed my wallet in a suitcase and couldn't identify myself when I tried to board a flight, having checked my bag. And there was no need for keys back then because there was no car and no lock on my room at Navy. But now my wallet is a low tech filing system, bank and license to drive and function in the world. And without keys I'm not going far and I'm not getting into my job or reentering my home. Wallet and keys....unlock my world and pay my way. Sounds a lot like Jesus to me...I'm just not getting far and I'm not opening any doors without Jesus aboard. There is a sense of being undressed and incomplete, wherever I am, when I forge out there without remembering that Jesus is with me. (I know he's always there...sometimes I just kind of forget!!)
Revelation 1:18 I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.[
