There are several large reservoirs in the area. They are like lakes and are open for limited boating and fishing. However there are restrictions. The pictured sign shows that alcoholic beverages and gasoline engines are prohibited when on the water. So electric trolling motors and ice tea provide the energy and refreshment. It made me think about the kinds of fuel that we use for propulsion and refreshment on a personal level. What are we putting in our tank? On the reservoir they are concerned about safety and water purity. In our lives, beyond physical beverages, there are other kinds of fuel for the inner person...the spiritual person. We may need to top off our tanks with fresh water from God's reservoir to provide the energy and encouragement we need!
John 2:7 Jesus said to them, "Fill the waterpots with water." And they filled them up to the brim.
