sharp focus

Smart phones are amazing for their versatility. They are so much more than communication devices. They really are portable information centers and one of the features I like best is the camera. It is so convenient to snap pictures with the phone and send them out or post them. When you take a picture, the camera tries to figure out what you are focusing on. If there are people in the scene it will frame their faces so you know they are in focus. Then you can snap the shot. If you don't frame the picture this way you can easily get a blurred image. It occurs to me that we need to take time to frame the image of the Lord as we snap pictures spiritually. He is here...all around and within us as believers but we tend to rush through life and we need to pause and reflect and consider, with the help of His Word, the true image of the Lord. When He comes into sharp focus and we see Him clearly we will take the lasting pictures that help us see Him and hold Him close.

Matthew 13:13 That is why I use these parables,
For they look, but they don't really see.
They hear, but they don't really listen or understand.
