John 14:² In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?

We like to envision our personal "room" that Jesus is making ready in Heaven for us individually.  I wonder if "go to prepare" includes personalizing the place to fit each unique personality?  Will He hang appropriate family pictures on the walls?  Does He care about our color preferences?  Will there be some kind of wonderful view from a window or balcony?  And who will live down the hall and next door?

But I'm also intrigued by the phrase "many rooms".  It is both positive and sobering to consider that there is room for many in Heaven.  But "many" is not "infinite".  Not everyone gets a room in Heaven.  Many implies some kind of limit.  Who do you know who doesn't yet have confidence that there will be a room for them?  Reservations are limited but still available and the price has been prepaid for those who will respond now!
