Subject: Faith is personal
Romans 5:1 "Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God."
The Gospel is...the Gospel means... that we are made right by putting the full weight of our trust on what Jesus accomplished on the Cross and proved through the resurrection. Just as He conquered death we have proof that He also conquered sin.
Faith is personal...faith means standing in two places: the foot of the Cross to behold His suffering and realizing He did it for me as much as for any person...and faith is also standing before the empty tomb, with the stone rolled away, and realizing He rose to prove I will also rise to the direct presence of God. Faith goes one step beyond knowing the facts of Easter and applies those facts to your own life.
You know, deep inside, that you were made for an eternity of living and you were made to live in truth and in goodness. What we cannot do for ourselves Jesus made possible. That's why we need to put our trust in Him.
