Fw: the value of nothing

1 Timothy 6:7 "for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world."
-
It may seem counter intuitive but "nothing" has great value.  Our worth was never greater than when we were first born.  Think of the amazing love that mother and father have for their newborn, when the child is totally unaware.  And, as the scripture reminds us, that love was not based on the child arriving with possessions.  But every child does arrive with great potential.  That potential is fulfilled when, during the course of his days, the child discovers the reality of the One who fashioned him and rescued him.  And "nothing" has great value when we consider departing this life for the next one.  If accumulating possessions is our highest purpose it would seem that they would have the longest life.  But our lives only begin here.  We must shed all that is from this place as we move on to the next dimension.  Just as we had great value on entering the world, so that value continues as we depart.  The value of a life is inherent...something built into each person.  And every life's potential can be fulfilled when completed by a faith awakening.  When the eyes of the soul are clarified to see the One who gave life and will be there to greet at the end of time on earth...the great worth of that soul has realized full potential.

"Nothing" has great value!

And the fulfilled potential of one can help others reach theirs as well:
11 But as for you, O man of God, flee these things[pursuit of material goods]Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.  [from 1 Tim 6]

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live."
